Alabama to southern Utah ... trying to figure out pacing & travel through eastern AZ
Lmk if this isn’t the best sub for this.
Taking son to college at the end of the month. I’m looking at the map once we leave Albuquerque... and it’s head northwest on back roads towards lake Powell.
There’s nothing. Just desert.
As inexperienced roadtrippers with this route who will be driving a hybrid, would we be better off staying on major highways and adding time?
I was looking for Airbnb and the only one I found that wasn’t at lake Powell was a hoogan on a Navajo reservation— completely primitive. 😱
Suggestions?
We are thinking al to Tyler Tx to Amarillo to Albuquerque.... then I’m lost on the way to go
