9 days in Europe in October - looking for recommendations
I realised I have 9 days of annual leave left to take off work this year, so I’m looking for a way to fill the time
Im 22 F and UK based - I’m sticking to Europe because of the short time and to keep costs down a little, I want to spend no more than £600 on booking the trip so for flights, accommodation and insurance.
In terms of daily budget when I get there, I’m pretty flexible as I have no bills or responsibilities at home atm.
I’ve done one solo trip before to Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna which was amazing, I loved Budapest the most. I’ve also visited New York, Athens, Barcelona, Paris (not solo) before and I want to try something different this time
My favourite thing about travelling is experiencing new foods, walking around the city and getting lost and just absorbing everything (flânerie if you want to get pretentious) - in Athens I loved going on a street art tour, general sightseeing e.g. museums, botanic gardens, maybe taking some sort of cooking class or wine tasting experience or something like that I’m not the most ‘active’ (I’m a long walk, weightlifting, and yoga kind of girl) - I’m definitely not big on hiking or any sports I also like a few drinks with dinner or in a pub but I’m not too big on partying
In terms of location, I’m pretty open to suggestions
Places on my bucket list include: Seville Valencia (mainly for paella) Porto Lisbon Rome Tuscany Lake Garda Copenhagen Stockholm Amsterdam Berlin Oslo
I speak enough Spanish to get by so visiting Seville and maybe somewhere else in Spain would be a nice easy trip I do want to go to all of these places eventually though and I’m sure I’d be fine just speaking English and learning the local language a little on Duolingo
Would appreciate thoughts on where to go, including recommendations not on the list especially if you think I could fit 2/3 places in the 9 days
Also I’ve never stayed in a hostel before, my last trip I spent in cheap apartments, but it might be good for me to step outside my comfort zone and meet people (trying to tackle my social anxiety lol)
