3 days in Paris
I'm (31-male-Canadian) spending a few days in Paris by myself starting tomorrow (May 21). Arriving at a hostel tonight. Any advice for a first time Europe traveler? More importantly, what should I avoid? My first activity will be to see the city by hop on hop off bus then do a guided tour of whatever interests me most from the bus. I'm nervous not knowing much (if any) French and I'd hate to offend someone while visiting.
As a theme park and Disney enthusiast, I've looked in to Disney Paris and they are offering a good deal on admission. Is it worth going, or am I better off spending the day on a day trip to Versailles, or maybe some of the D-Day memorials? I've heard conflicting opinions on all these. Can I do Disney on a half day if I start early?
Hoping to meet some friendly people at the hostel as I've not travelled solo before. As someone who struggles with social anxiety and depression I find it difficult to spark conversations and make friends.
Hoping this trip will give me some confidence for my next trips to Ireland and Barcelona coming up!
Appreciate any tips you may have on my ramblings and random questions. Cheers.
