19 day roadtrip with start & finish in Seattle
Hi everyone,
Very new to posting on Reddit and I thought I would share my upcoming 19 day roadtrip starting next Monday.
This is going to be our (me & wife) 7th multiple week roadtrip to the USA, we try to do one every year.
We're from Belgium and just love the huge variety the USA has to offer in regards to nature & cities to visit.
This will be our trip from day to day, without going into too much detail.
Frist 2 days we stay in Tacoma and will visit Olympic NP for 1 day (we'll be back to it later) and we'll also check out Vashon Island, Tacoma car museum and some other things, probably some outlet shopping.
Then we'll head over to Wenatchee to do a trail in Okanogan National Forest, then we'll continue to Kennewick to stay overnight, then heading for John Day Fossil Beds/Painted Hills and staying in Redmond OR.
We'll go and check out Smith Rock State Park before heading to La Pine. Next day we have planned to visit Crater Lake National Park. Roads don't seem to be open to enter from the North side so it might take a us detour to go in via the South side. Then we'll head over to Roseburg.
After Roseburg we go to Coos Bay and follow the coast line up to Cannon Beach making several stops along the way. We'll finish that day in Beaverton. We'll then visit Portland for a day before heading to Kelso via the various waterfalls along the Columbia River, we'll probably cross it at the Bridge of the Gods.
We'll check out Mt St Helens observatory before heading to Port Angeles. We'll spend 2 days visiting Olympic NP again, 1 day going in at Port Angeles, 1 day via Forks. Then we'll head to Ashford to visit Mt Rainier NP for 1 day.
The last few days we'll stay in Everett, to go whale watching, visit Boeing factory and head into Seattle for 1 or 2 days before flying back home.
