(16 days in Central/Northeastern Europe) Help me decide which city to cut from my trip?
Quick Essentials: Mid 20s, male, solo traveller. I have two flights booked: Canada to Copenhagen, and then Berlin back home to Canada. I arrive in Copenhagen the morning of June 17 and I depart Berlin the morning of July 3. This gives me 16 full days on the ground in Europe.
From here I plan on seeing 4/5 cities. I have not booked these flights and I am content to "improvise" this part of the trip, especially the lengths of time I stay in each city. I do however have a rough itinerary so I can visually outline which cities I'd like to see and on average how much time I have in each.
(Travel days in bold, all other days are full days or essentially full days)
Copenhagen: June 17, 18, 19, 20
Prague: 20, 21, 22, 23
Krakow: 23, 24, 25, 26
Kyiv: 26, 27, 28, 29,
Berlin: 29, 30, July 1, 2, 3
I would love to see all these cities but the problem is that every third day becomes a travel day. I think I may have to cut out either Prague or Kyiv. I have been to Prague before and I loved it. I have not been to Kyiv and I would love to see it. However, it does seem like the geographical outlier. The way I see it, here are my two options (again, the lengths of time in each city are not set in stone, just averages):
Option A:
Copenhagen: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
Prague: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Krakow: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29,
Berlin: 29, 30, 1, 2, 3
Option B
Copenhagen: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
Krakow: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Kyiv: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29,
Berlin: 29, 30, 1, 2, 3
Basically it comes down to seeing a city I would love to see (including a trip to Chernobyl) despite it being out of the way, OR seeing a city I already know I love and would be thrilled to spend more time in.
Any thoughts, friends? Thank you so much in advance.
