Hi everyone!

My boyfriend (23m) and I (21f) are from Vancouver, Canada, and are hoping to road-trip from Denver, Colorado to Los Angeles, California at the beginning of August, over the course of around 12 days.

I’m looking for some guidance on car rentals as we are planning on flying from Vancouver to Denver and then home from Los Angeles, so we will need a car to get us from Denver to LA and everywhere in between!! We both have full licenses here in Vancouver. Neither of us have rented a car before and we are definitely on a budget, but we don’t need anything fancy - just some A/C and an AUX cord! I’m looking for some recommendations/tips of good companies to book from and such! Ive been looking online a bunch but am a bit confused because there are hidden fees everywhere about insurance/damage protection/fees since we are under 25 and am hoping someone with some more experience in this realm can send me in the right direction :)
