Men following solo women in Prague
I wondered if anyone else has experienced what seems to be a targeted effort (at what though, I’m not sure). And wanted to give a little warning to any other solo females in Prague right now.
This group of men (not like a drunk stag party group, they just stand at the edge of the road and watch people go by) has been in the same area of Old Town (Melantrichova st) and every night they approach me to find out where I’m staying, if I’m alone, ask me to hang out with them, offer to take me ‘somewhere cooler’ etc. Tonight they really amped it up, one of them followed me for several blocks while I politely asked him to leave me alone. I ended up walking past my hostel bc I didn’t want him knowing where I was staying. After he finally left me alone, I waited awhile before walking back. But, before I made it to my hostel- one of the men that was with him approached me and started doing the same. Then they all started to approach me on every side. I started very loudly asking to be left alone, to which they didn’t care. Luckily, a random man noticed the situation and stepped in to ask if I was okay. The men instantly scrambled.
It left me uncomfortable and not wanting to stay in this area anymore out of fear of them. Im sure they’re doing this to other solo females as well. Maybe it’s harmless and they just want to “hang out”, idk. They told me they live here in Prague.
