Maximizing a business trip to Hawaii
Hello! Got told today that I’ll be getting to go on a trip to Hawaii for business in July. I’m so excited as it’s my first time to Hawaii and I will have the option to extend the trip for personal travel. My meetings are Tuesday-Friday so I’m thinking I’ll travel to Hawaii the weekend before and leave the Sunday after. My meetings are in Honolulu and other locations on Oahu. Work will pay for my expenses on the days I’m working. So I have a lot more flexibility with my budget then I normally would, and would love to stay in nicer hotels if possible.
I travel a lot for work, but traveling solo in Hawaii seems more intimidating for me. Any suggestions on how to maximize my time and experience while there? Any must see things or must do activities? How many days should I stay on Oahu or should I go to another island for my personal travel, and if so where? I am mostly looking to experience the beauty of the islands and relax, I am willing to hike to see a must see view, but honestly would rather spend my time at the beach or exploring using the rental car I will have.
