Itinerary & Hostel Questions - Budapest, Zagreb/Plitvice, and Ljubljana/Bled

Hi everyone! I'm planning a 2-week trip next month, flying into Budapest and out of Ljubljana.

I would love some feedback on my itinerary - I wanted some extra time in Budapest to celebrate my birthday, go out, and maybe take a day trip or two. However, I'm open to adding days to Zagreb (which I was really going to just to go to Plitvice) or Ljubljana, and take those days from Budapest or Bled. I also would love to pop over to Bratislava, but logistics-wise, it looks like it would work best for a day trip from Budapest.

Day 1: arrive Budapest in the evening

Day 2: Budapest

Day 3: Budapest

Day 4: Budapest

Day 5: Budapest

Day 6: Budapest --> Zagreb

Day 7: Zagreb --> Plivtice (bus there in the evening to avoid the morning crowds)

Day 8: Plitvice

Day 9: Plitvice --> Zagreb --> Ljubliana --> Bled (too optimistic?)

Day 10: Bled/Bohinj

Day 11: Bled/Bohinj

Day 12: Bled/Bohinj

Day 13: Bled --> Ljubljana

Day 14: Ljubljana

Day 15: fly home

Another question re: hostels - I've read a lot of the threads about Budapest hostels, and I'm still not sure what the best move is. I'm 29/F and turning 30 on this trip. I love social hostels and going out, but don't want the 23 year old backpacker vibe and value my sleep. I've seen a lot of glowing reviews of Carpe Noctem OG, but also plenty that say it's just constant drinking and there are quite a bit of bad reviews about the staff. My ideal would be like a Home Lisbon Hostel. I've read a lot of good things about Budapest Bubble as well but seems a bit hit or miss since it's so small? Some other contenders I've seen are Maverick City Lodge and Lazy Muggle. For now, I was thinking I'd book half my time at a chiller social hostel with private rooms for some good sleep and sightseeing, and my birthday/the other half at a more lively hostel. Any experience with chill or "light" party hostels (especially if they have A/C) in Budapest would be greatly appreciated!
