Help me decide: SEA or SA
I (27, F) will be attending a yoga teacher training for 3 weeks in the Sacred Valley of Peru or in Amed, Bali. I have yet to decide as the following 6 months I am able to continue traveling. I am having a very hard time choosing between the two.
I have been to Central America and my spanish is basic, I would like to be fluent. This, along with a love for hiking and general gravitation towards this area of the world is telling me to go to SA. Additionally, I do feel the yoga teacher training would be better served here as it is a program based on Peruvian Shamanism. I would start in Peru, make my way down through Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, and then fly to Colombia and Ecuador to end my trip. I would leave in Mid August.
IF I were to go to SEA, I would fly into Bali in Mid-October. Missing the Winter months and leaving later in the year is a huge pro to choosing SEA. Additionally, this will be my last large trip for awhile. I feel that the flight (from United States) is long and would be best served during a longer trip like this. This, along with beautiful beaches, food, and experiencing such a different area of the world is what is drawing me toward this part of the world. I would start in Indonesia and work my way North West-with the general goal to get to Napal and hike the Everest Base camp. I feel that I may be much older than the travelers in SEA- I also am a little intimidated when researching as I have zero knowledge of the language there.
I would love any and all input truly. If you have been to both areas please please chime in. Thank you for reading.
