Cabo & La Paz trip: Renting a Convertible for the long drives?
35 year old guy doing a solo trip to Cabo and La Paz Mexico. My knees hurt in the morning and I have a lot less hair then I did when I was younger but at least I'm well past my days of having to count every penny. That's not to say I don't try and be frugal.
The drive from the air port to La Paz is 2 hours and then another 90 minutes back down to Cabo from La Paz. I was thinking of splurging and renting a convertible to enjoy the sun and weather on the drive. The rental is about $80 more a day over a cheap sedan. I'm just wondering how long it will take for novelty to wear off and I'll be kicking myself for wasting so much money. Very little luggage and this is a 100% yolo trip for me. Anyone rented a convertible on vacation? What was your experience?
Thanks
