Anyone ever get "pushed" into taking a trip?
Southwest messed up my flight to see family this January and their computer auto calculated my "compensation" to the tune of a shocked gate agent and a $490 voucher. I just glanced at it and it expired after 1 year, so I got 7 more months. Time to start figuring things out I guess.
Southwest doesn't fly to many "adventurous" places, so I'm limited. SW now flies to Hawaii, so that's an option, but wouldn't be the cheapest. If I started looking up things, I would probably find awesome stuff on different islands that I wanted to do, plus needing to rent a car on at least 1 island. Second thought is Costa Rica. Without looking at much more than a map, I would land in San Jose, and then have to figure out hot to get somewhere tropical/beachy as that's the point of going to Costa Rica. Third thought, I could fly to Cuba, but I live in south FL as is where flights are always available, so I could go anytime really.
SW does fly a couple places in the bahamas like Turks and Caicos, but I'm a youth hostel and street vendor food dude, not a $400 a night all inclusive type.
This is to be a cheap trip since I have the flight for free. I would be OK if I didn't "have to" take this trip but the flight is free so I feel I can't pass this up.
