Torn Whether To Travel To Europe This Summer
I was planning on following the following itinerary but the more i'm researching hostels, the harder it is to find ones with good AC. I'm reading reviews and the AC's promoted "don't work" most of the time, and each hostel has "tons of mosquitos" during the summer. I have traveled to Europe during Fall and Winter and had 0 issues with mosquitos or weather, aside from 1 night in a bad hostel.
I live and grew up near San Francisco Bay Area, and have basically never had a hot summer. It's always perfect or cold weather here, and I love the cold weather of the Bay(which is a lot less than most places). I visited D.C, Miami, and Boston during summers, but the AC's were so overpowered that I had 0 issues. In addition, I grew up in a place with basically 0 mosquitos, and once, in Italy, I was bit like 15-30 times 1 night at a bad hostel, and I don't want to deal with that again.
If I don't travel to Europe this summer(i'm graduating college and will have 3 months of break before full time work), should I just travel a bit around America and Canada(I have 16 cities on my travel list) instead? Even if some of the East Coast places are hot, i'm sure there will be great AC's in hostels.
Ideally, i'd visit Europe main cities in December because I love xmas markets and the cold weather isn't a problem for me(solid jacket), and March for the places with beaches(Amalfi Coast, Santorini, etc), but since I am graduating, I felt pressure to see these places now before I start working full time(only get 2-3 weeks of vacation a year, unsure if w/e company I works for will allow 2-3 consecutive weeks of leave).
I'm just a kid and haven't really traveled until like last year(low income family, I saved money working in High School and getting a full ride for college allowed me to save a ton of money, and i'll be a software engineer for my career from top 3 university, not that it's important, but in case people want to quantify my potential future income), so I suppose i'm just trying to make up for lost time. I'm assuming people will say i'm overthinking, but am eager to hear some solid advice.
Thanks in advance.
