Southeast Asia in July-August (rain season)
Hey!
As an european, the only long break I have is in summer. I've been thinking about backpacking in southeast asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodja and Laos) but it would be rain season. How limited would my travel be compared to, for example, January?
While I'd like to meet people and party a bit, my main goal would be hiking/exploring in the outdoors. Would that be possible, taking in account the rain and floods (plus the diseases that come with it?). If it is possible, would it be a lot different/worse than doing it outside the rain season? While I'm aware that it would be great and that I'd have fun anyway, I'd be a bit disappointed if I knew that I'd enjoy it more in a different season
