Roadtrip Italy
Hi,
We (= me, my wife and our 9 month old daughter) are planning on a 16 day road trip through north and central Italy next June.
We're mainly interested in nature and countryside, and will try to avoid big tourist hordes in city's like Milan, Florence, Sienna, ... The only city we're planning to visit is probably San Marino.
With the little baby girl, rest will also be an important part of the trip.
Current itinerary:
- Night travel from Belgium to Cinque Terre region
- 2 nights at Agriturismo Degli Olivi
- Also wanting to do the hike along the 5 coastal villages
- 3 nights at Borghetto Il Montino in southern Tuscany
- Exploring the countryside + relaxing
- 3 nights at Hotel La Compagnia Del Viaggiatore in L'Aquila, Abruzzo
- Exploring the mountains + some ancient villages
- 3 nights at Borgo Crispiero in Le Marche region
- Mainly relaxing + some countryside exploring
- 2 nights in a yet to determine accomodation in the neighbourhood of San Marino
- Planning to visit San Marino for a day
- 2 nights at a yet to determine accomodation near Lago D'Iseo
- Relaxing before turning back home
- Day travel from Lago D'Iseo to Belgium
As you can see, most accomodations have already been chosen, but not been booked, so we're still flexible. :-)
Any feedback on the route, things worth seeing or accomodations would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!
