So, I've been staying at a hostel and after getting some bites, I discovered that the bed I slept in for several nights had bed bugs :(

I haven't seen any bed bugs in my bags or clothes, but I want to treat everything to be safe. I know the best way (and some say the only good way) to treat your stuff is to put it in a dryer on the highest setting for a couple hours.

But I'm concerned about doing that with several items- namely my backpack, hiking boots, down jacket, rain jacket, rain pants, and leather belt.

Can these things withstand 2 hours at high heat without being destroyed?
