Hi, I’m going to be traveling to Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Ireland) this summer alone for the first time ever. I’m verbally harassed nightly when I go out with friends in the states and I’ve gotten over it because I’m familiar with the area. This includes catcalling, etc. I’ve read posts about girls being followed by creeps and guys even changing their itinerary to match. Any tips on avoiding unwanted attention? Avoiding pickpocketing scams? I’m incredibly nervous about this in places I’m not familiar with at all.

I want to explore places “off the beaten path” in new cities, I’ve never been interested in museums and “must-see” trip advisor attractions. I’m nervous about ending up somewhere I should t.
