Canadian working in New Zealand, do I claim my NZ income in my Cdn Taxes?

This is my first year with no income in Canada but a bit of income in New Zealand. I have read up a little bit on a tax agreement but am a little confused. Is it the governments definition of foreign income and if I claim it on my Cdn taxes, can I also claim it in NZ? Which seems like I am double dipping as I would get cash back in both cases since I only worked a small amount. I can see both sides but am not sure what to do. Thanks for any help
