25yo + month of September off + $3000 = help me figure out where to go, please!
Hello everyone!
25 yo female planning first solo trip out of the US. I have $3000 to spend and the month of September off from clinical rotations (de-stressing will need to be a part of this trip). Will be flying from the east coast of USA. Here are some of my thoughts -- I would love to get some input from people that know more about these things than I do!
Interests: relaxation, learning about a new culture, seeing beautiful sites, eat yummy food, push myself out of my comfort zone.
Thailand: I've read a lot of threads in here about people's amazing experiences there. One in particular about renting a vespa and driving through the mountains really intrigued me. I'm worried about the rainy season, though. Also love the idea of massages and just relaxing.
Italy to Greece: I would be lying if I said I haven't romanticized these two places in my head. They just seem warm, bright, and happy. Is that true? The idea of exploring little beach towns in Greece makes me excited.
I just want to be surrounded by beautiful things and experience a new culture and meet new people. Would love any suggestions, including places to research beyond the two I mentioned. Thank you!
