Traveling into and out of Amsterdam, what to do in between?
Hello, I'm trying to figure out the best itinerary for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam March 14-25 and would love some input. I've been all over central and eastern Europe but this is my first time west.
I land at AMS Friday(14th) @ 8:15 and plan to spend that first weekend exploring amsterdam. I would like to hit up a couple different cities but not quite sure what would make the most sense route-wise. I think I'll travel to The Hague on Monday the 18th to hit up the MC Escher museum, day trip or stay there overnight? After Den Haag I don't really have any other must sees on my list... I'd like to visit Belgium; Ghent or Antwerp? Would Luxembourg be worth a visit? Any cool German border cities worth checking out? I think on the way back I'd like to visit Utrecht before heading home from Amsterdam at 11:00 am on March 25th.
Has anyone done a similar time frame Amsterdam trip? Should I scrap Belgium and head to Paris or London? Thanks! (edit: I'm a one-bagger, any recommendations for essential clothes to pack?)
