Solo travel and UK Pubs?
I’m taking my first trip to the UK next month and I’m just now learning that most pubs don’t have stools at the bar, like most bars do.
It’s throwing me off a bit because pulling up a seat at the bar was always my go to move as a solo traveler to grab a pint and talk to people. Without stools there, it seems a little less solo friendly (I’m sure that’s just in my head).
So how did you fellow solo travelers hit up UK pubs? Stand around with my beer? Take up a table of four seats just for myself? Retreat to the bathroom with my beer and drink alone in shame while hiding in the stalls?
