One-way to Costa Rica, proof of onward travel needed?
Hey fellow Redditers/travellers
I find myself - like many other backpackers - lost in the information about onward travel from Costa Rica to Panama.
I am a Belgian citizen, flying from Madrid over Miami to San Jose on March 31st. My plan is to travel through several countries (Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia etc.)
Some people say you have to show proof upon arrival in San Jose, of leaving Costa Rica. Is that correct? So should I buy a bus ticket or plane ticket into Panama to show the immigration officers? Or what is the story here?
Any help would be much much appreciated! Thank you.
