M21 first solo trip in central europe!
howdy friends, I’m an American studying abroad in the UK and I just bought my flight from London to Munich to kick off a 12-day trip around central Europe. Super stoked about this, I’ve been wanting to solo travel all my life and I’m absolutely thrilled that the opportunity is only a month away. But now I don’t know how I want to spend those 12 days! Current itinerary has me taking the train as I go through: Munich for 2 nights Prague for 2/3 nights Vienna for 2 nights Budapest for 2 nights and then flying on from Budapest to Brussels (1) /Luxembourg (1) and catching another train back to London.
I also have the alternative idea of going from Munich to Salzburg, spending a night there, then through Vienna to Budapest, then finally taking a train from there to Prague so I can train from Luxembourg and Brussels— wondering if this is a more cost-efficient strategy, despite allowing another day/night it Salzburg.
Am I trying to do too much? Where should I slow down if I am, and what might I look out for along the rails?
Brimming with anticipation and wanted to share/seek advice
