Looking for travel recommendations in April or May
So I'm from eastern Canada and I've done quite a bit solo traveling (most of europe) already and I'm looking for my next destination. My trip will be 2 or 3 weeks and out of that time, I'll have 1 week completely free of work, and I'll have to work remotely for my employer from my computer for 1-2 weeks (so somewhere with good internet ideally).
Things I like/want out of my trip:
- A solid internet connection for work and a nice place to work (I was thinking maybe I could work in different cafe/coffee shops every day and in the evening I could explore)
- A social place, so good social hostels, a place where it's easy to meet people and party on weekends
- Warm weather (not too hot that I can't explore the city/country though)
- Nature (mountains with short hikes or beautiful beaches)
My favorite places (maybe this'll help with understanding what I like?) that I've been to are Thailand and Japan.
I did Muay Thai in Thailand for a month and it was such an incredible experience for me. Super easy to meet people, good scuba diving, nice beaches, and good parties.
Japan ranks as my favorite of all time and it's a bit hard for me to explain why. I'm an anime nerd, love japanese cars, very nice people, very different vibe from the country and their culture is interesting. I'd probably go here if I had more time... I would think South Korea would be super cool too.
I was honestly considering one of the Scandinavian countries but I think in April the weather might not be so great there.
Another option may be somewhere down south but I'm not sure what the quality of internet is down there. I also question whether it's safe to work outside my hotel room in countries like Mexico, etc. I'm also not super interested in solo traveling to a resort.
Any recommendations would be great! Thanks.
