Looking for advice on hostel "etiquette" for my first stay in a hostel.
I first want to start be saying I'm kind of a socially awkward person and not great around strangers so this will be a real test for me. I want to stay in a hostel in Toronto for 3 nights as I wanted to make the trip cheaper and not be alone the whole time since I'm going solo. First, how does showering and getting dressed work, should I bring my clothes into the shower with me? Will there be separate stalls section to get dressed by the shower? I'm pretty sure I will be sharing a 4 person room so getting dressed in the room after the shower won't be possible. Next do people change into pajamas and walk around if they are in the hostel or keep day clothes on up until they actually go to bed? Usually on a normal trip if I spend the day out I take a shower and hop into pajamas to walk around my room, I'm not sure if that's a no go... The description on the hostel says it offers breakfast so should I get dressed and expect to leave right after breakfast in the morning? I will be at the same one for the 3 days. Finally I don't plan to travel with valuable things aside from my phone, wallet, and passport, when I leave should I try to lock my whole weekend bag in the locker or leave it on the side of the bed? Thanks for any additional tips you might have for my first stay in a hostel, I just nervous I'll be the weirdo at the hostel :/
