In Chang Mai looking for island advice
Currently in Chang Mai and heading to Cambodia for 4 or 5 days. After that I plan to head back to Bangkok then head south to the islands. I already had a good deal for a round trip back to Bangkok, so that’s where I’ll be leaving from when I head south.
I’m not looking for huge party scenes but don’t mind a little. I think Phuket and Phi Phi are out. What would be the best place to fly into (definitely flying)? What islands do you recommend? I’ve read so far that Lanta, Tao, and Phangan (day after full moon party) are mostly likely what I’m looking for.
Looking at the map I doubt I’ll have time to hit Lanta. Should I just fly Bkk to Surat Thani? Then take a ferry to Phangan, then Tao after that?
