How Easily Walkable is Amsterdam?
Study abroad student here (who's still on that student budget but looking to get the most out of everything!) who's going to Amsterdam in a coming weekend! I know there are lots of those cards that you can get for the unlimited usage of the trams, buses, and trains but what are the odds I really need that if I'm gonna be there for 5 days and like to just wonder around?
My hostel is like 1 mile/1.6 kilometers from the Central station and it was recommended that I take the tram for like 4 euros one way, but I find that distance easily walkable and don't mind spending a little extra time walking if it means I can enjoy the city more. I can easily walk 10 miles a day/16km without complaint
Is it necessary for me to get one of those 2/3 day unlimited passes? I know it depends on what I'm doing but I plan on staying in the centralized location!
Any other solo travellers who'd want to meet up for a meal or a museum visit (so we can both get those nice candid shots haha), PM me because I'm going this coming weekend :) I know that's against the whole purpose of this sub but the more the merrier!
