I'm starting to plan a trip for this fall, and I want to go to Southeast Asia for the first time. I don't want to spend tons of time moving around, so I'd like to confine myself to one or two countries. My biggest priority is beautiful beaches. Ideally I would fly into the capital city, check it out for a few days, then head to the coast and find a nice beach town(s) to hangout in for a few weeks. Good food, nice people, low crime, good prices, historical ruins, jungles, etc would all be nice, but I know I can't have everything. I'm not a huge partier but would like to make some friends. Being in a town big enough to have a decent hospital would be comforting.

Also, what do you guys think about vaccines? Typhoid and Hep A all I should get?
