Good time of year to visit South/Central America and Southeast Asia
Basically in 2020 I am planning to quit my job and travel for 6-9 months depending on what I end up having saved. I want to bop around central/South America for half and head over to SEA for the other half before returning to Canada. I don’t necessarily want to go during peak seasons. But I don’t want crap weather every day either.
Initial plan is to head out in April 2020. I am wondering if you guys think this is a good time to leave weather wise. I don’t want to do the equivalent of travelling to Canada in the winter when I’m looking for a warm escape.
Suggestions, recommendations, anecdotes and everything in between very welcome. This will be my first time solo travelling. I will be 30 by the time this rolls around and am a woman to add some context.
Sorry if this has been asked before. We all know the search function is not exactly superb on this thing.
