going on my 1st solo to london, would like suggestions
long story short, my parents are finally accepting that i’m gonna take a solo trip on my own š granted i’m 24F but i’m also asian and muslim and well. yes it’s taken a few trips to get them used to the idea (even though it’s to a place as “safe” as london).
i’m going to be there for about 7-9 days in mid to late june. thinking about doing maybe 1 or 2 day trips out during that time too, but i’m also excited about what there is to do in the city itself. i’m big on museums (war/military, art, history, literally any kind of museum), good food, and just taking it slow. seeing local sights and not particularly doing anything too gimmicky. i’ve definitely got my fair pick of museums alone (brit museum, imperial war, V&A) but does anyone have suggestions about cool stuff that doesn’t usually turn up in “X things to do” lists, or any warnings of overrated things to do?
alternatively suggestions for good or surprising day trips would also work! i was thinking oxford/cambridge/stratford-upon-avon maybe? not sure i’ll do all though. just excited to start planning this for real.
