Do you travel with a purpose to your destination, or are you just a generic wanderer?
Sometimes people ask me "what have you got planned for X" country, like I'm meant to be doing something. I often I have no idea why I'm there or want to go out there. Case in point - some people travel to Thailand because they want to go snorkelling and all that jazz, others are into yoga. Sometimes people will have volunteer work lined up.
But I don't, so I guess I fall into the category of a generic wanderer who is happy seeing the usual tourist sights, meeting people, experiencing the atmosphere, and going somewhere just because I think it looks cool or will be interesting and wandering. I don't really think this is a bad way to travel, but I'm wondering if this is more common that people having a clear defined purpose (i really want to see X, i'm volunteering at Y, i'm really into Z).
How would you describe yourselves?
