An American Sporting Vacation - Aussie Style
Hey there r/roadtrip! Real noob here but here goes! I’m 23 from Australia and looking to go to the States at the end of the year for what I’m hoping can be a sports/sightseeing adventure of a lifetime!
I have a few places in mind that I’d love to go, and as mentioned I’m a sports nerd so I want to a little of everything sports related, as well as the traditional American sights!
I need the help of you experienced people to tell me the best way to go about it! Hire a car? Take buses? Fly between cities? Are there tour companies that specialise in sporting tours?
The list of places I really want to go are : NYC New Orleans Nashville (Go Titans!) Memphis San Fran A traditional drive along Route 66
With honourable mentions to Vegas Yosemite Seattle Denver
I know all of these places are dotted all over the great country of the USA, so I won’t be able to get to them all in the ~3 weeks that I’ll have, but any advice on how to/the best way/cheap ways to get to a lot of these places and see the sports and sights they’re hiding would be awesome!
