33F First Time Traveling Solo
Hey y'all! It's cold AF in Montreal and I'm sick of winter (and the heating doesn't seem to work in my school), so I splurged and bought myself plane tickets to San Juan, Puerto Rico for March break (March 3-9)! Woohoo! It's my first time traveling solo, with no set purpose... And I'm excited! But also nervous. I'm planning on picking up Lonely Planet's Puerto Rico guide to do some research. I've also tried searching this subreddit, but I'm not quite finding what I'm looking for, so here are a few questions:
1- I'm looking at Air BnB. Where should I stay to be walking distance from the beach as well as close to restaurants/grocery stores to, ya know, eat.
2- How pedestrian friendly is San Juan? I'd rather not have to rent a car if I can avoid it. How accessible is public transportation/taxis?
3- What is your "DUDE! You can't go to PR and not do/see..." opinion?
4- I don't speak Spanish. Will that be an issue?
Thanks for your help!
