What to do in Geneva area in mid-April?
Hi fellow solotravelers,
I just booked a roundtrip flight to Geneva for nine days in mid-April (couldn't resist the price), and I plan to ski for 4-5 days. What can I do with my other 3-4 days in that region? Geneva doesn't sound super exciting from what I've read on this subreddit, and I'd prefer France or Italy as they're cheaper anyway. If it helps, I'm a 28yo male who likes skiing (obviously), history, wandering cities, eating good food, and drinking socially. I also enjoy staying at hostels. Is it worth going to Lyon, Turin, or Milan? Should I stay in the Alps? Thanks!
P.S. If there are any skiers out there, I'm thinking Val Thorens, as it's supposed to still have plenty of snow that time of year.
