What European cities are worth visiting in winter?
Hi everyone! I seek an advice!
I would like to make some shorter trip at the beginning of February, maybe for 4 or 5 days, or better say I have time between 6. and 10. 2. – my starting point is Ostrava in the Czech Republic, or if it’s needed for better connections Prague. Because I’m not rich (still studeeent), I would prefer some cheap options so please, think about that:D
And now to the main point: I would like to visit some interesting European cities. Because it’s winter, I don’t want to hike or wander through nature, would rather stay warm and see some must-see cities with for example interesting architecture, some unique corners/sightseeing etcetcetc. I don’t expect you to plan my trip because I know this is my job to do, don’t worry, I would just like to hear your suggestions, ideas, opinions. What would you visit? What is worth to see in winter? How many cities am I able to visit in only 4-5 days? I prefer cities closer to the Czech Republic but if you really think I should see something what is further away and there are some cheap flight options, just tell me, I’m one big ear!
Preferred traffic - bus, train, cheap flights
Will prefer to stay at cheap hostels, if you know some good ones in the places you are suggesting, tell meee:)
Thanks guys!
EDIT: Have already been to Poland, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and France… and I guess I would like to visit Hungary or Slovenia or Italy … or Lithuania, Latvia. But I'm open to any suggestions.
