Study Abroad in France: Best places/adventures?
So I will be studying abroad in France this summer, just outside of Paris. I will be going to classes Mon-Thursday, and I plan to travel as much as possible. My friends that are also going are wanting to spend more time in the cities, clubbing, touristy stuff. However, I’m more into the adventure, outdoorsy kind of things. I want to experience as much of the incredible landscape as possible (I.e. Matterhorn, Lakes or rivers in Norway/Sweden, maybe northern lights?, rock climbing, etc.) I have never been abroad, but I’m prepared to go solo on cool trips if nobody wants to come along.
My main question is: What are some places/things that you would not want to miss if you were traveling on the weekends in Europe in the Summer? (I’d prefer more adventurous stuff, but I’m open to literally anything.)
Second question: What gear would you take, and what gear would you leave at home because it turned out to be not needed?
Thanks in advance!!
