Question about onward travel
Hey all, I'm wondering if I'm well prepared in regards to my trip and if I'm missing anything to prevent any hiccups?
I'm from USA and planning on visiting UK, Netherlands, Germany and Italy in March (1st-30th). I originally bought a round trip ticket to and from UK with the return flight to USA being March 30th, however Last night, I decided I wanted to stay in UK longer and added April 1-30th to my trip. I'm unable to change my return flight with my airline, so I'll need to buy another return flight eventually. From what I understand, I'll need proof of onward travel from UK before entering? Is this something I'll need before flying from Italy back to UK, or will they care since my trip originally started in the UK? Also, do I need proof of onward travel when I enter Germany and Italy by train? I'm just a bit confused on this. I'm aware that UK is not part of Schengen, which is where my confusion lies.
I don't really want to commit to buying another return ticket, as I'm not sure if I want to stay longer in Europe. Are the rent a ticket sites legit?
