Oahu, Hawaii
Late February it’ll be 4 days!! I know such a short trip! I have been to Hawaii prior but I was with my parents & as a minor.
This time I was given an opportunity because I managed to get free airfare. I’m looking to find some great sites to see for photos. My parents mentioned Diamond Head- is that place still a great place to go?
Also, I would love to do scuba/snorkel or just spend a short time in the water with someone who is experienced. I could happily enter into someone’s group, if it met my budget needs!
I would love to take a surf lesson from a spot that has really easy waves. & I do mean easy waves! Think no more than 1-2 feet! I do own a SUP & can do that.
Any time recommendations for getting to the royal palace? I can’t spell her name! I know, I’m terrible!
Food/cuisine! I love sushi! Also, I want to try some Hawaiian/Polynesian food. Possibly go to a luau (again if it meets my budget needs). (If a poster thinks of some other food they experienced there that was tasty- please list! Same with great hole in the walls!)
Traffic- does anyone have any recommendations for navigating that? Any time recommendations?
I definitely plan to spend some time on the beach! Funny because I come from a notorious beach community but not this time of year. But that also means I hate people getting near my beach towel. Any recommendations for less crowded beaches than Waikiki?
My budget- I’m trying to not go over $300. It’s Hawaii during peak travel time! It’s fine if someone knows I’m being unrealistic & can enlighten me so, I’m aware in advance!
This is a super short whirlwind trip! I’ll take any recommendations, at this point!
