Need to book flights verrrrrry soon (traveling mid-February). 5 non-flight days and looking for a “fun” city. Barcelona, Berlin, or maybe both? Help?
Hey guys! 26 year old female here!
I have from Feb 11 thru 18 off. Plan on using Feb 11 and Feb 18 as travel days which gives me 5 full days of travel. It isn’t a ton of time, but I feel like it’s still manageable for Europe and I’ve been itching to go.
Things I Enjoy: General sightseeing, cool architecture, and FOOD but to be quite honest I’m trying to focus on a place with superb nightlife with a steady bar/club scene throughout the week. Berlin and Barcelona are two cities I haven’t visited yet that seem to be highly recommended by the subreddit for this.

Berlin: Cool history and “hip” vibe. Nightlife is supposed to be top-notch and the techno scene is thriving. I’m a humongous fan of house music and electronic music in general, but not sure if I would want strictly techno all the time? Cold weather will also be a bummer. :(

Barcelona: Leaning more towards here due to the cheaper flights/milder weather. Doesn’t seem to be as “wild” as Berlin but still seems to be a fun, youthful city with plenty of tourist attractions and a rich culture. Not sure how the nightlife is on weekdays though?
Ideally doing both Barcelona and Berlin would be fun but that would only leave 2 full days in each city which might be too hectic. However I feel like I’m the kind of person who would get bored after 5 days in the same city. Going to neighboring large cities (i.e. Madrid, Lisbon) seem like an option but some of them are quite pricey to fly out of.
Would really appreciate any help!
