Looking for advice on a 9-12 day itinerary. Europe or elsewhere!
Hi /r/solotravel! I went on my first solo journey 3 years ago and this subreddit was a huge help! Browsing this board without even having travel plans is a joy, and I'm excited to finally be planning another journey!
I'm planning on going to Europe from May 17th-May 29th(ish) so probably 9-12 days depending on what I can negotiate with my boss. A good friend of mine just moved to Berlin, so I'm thinking about doing Europe again. My first time to Europe I backpacked in Dublin, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Munich, and Brussels.
For this 9-12 day trip I'd like to do 3 cities max. Right now, its extremely cheap to fly into London from my home airport. However, I have no desire to really visit London, but I'll still fly into there considering its about $500 cheaper to fly there as opposed to somewhere else in Europe, then take a $20-$30 RyanAir to another city. I went to many cities my first journey, but I'm looking for recommendations on a good 9-12 day itinerary. Berlin definitely in the mix, since my friend is there and I loved it when I was there in 2015. I was also thinking Amsterdam, but I don't know if I want to do another trip to cities I've already been to (even though I loved it). I know London, Berlin, Paris is a popular itinerary. I have no real desire to go to Paris, but I could be convinced. Also heard good things about Utrecht? Would love any and all recommendations. Right now I'm thinking-
Day 1- London
Day 2-4 Amsterdam
Day 5-8 Berlin
Day 9-12 Utrecht/Paris/Somewhere else (time depending)
Appreciate any recommendations! P.S. I'm also considering Colombia and will be doing more research, but considering a close friend is living in Germany, it's a little more appealing.
