Long haul flights and food
I'm currently sitting in an airport, tired and with a stomach ache as usual when I travel. I feel like it's next to impossible to eat in such a way that doesn't make me feel like ultimate death during long haul trips. Short flights obviously aren't bad, but 8+ hour travel days pretty much stick you with junky airport food or the microwaved garbage in flight. I always end up feeling bloated and disgusting.
Anyone have some good tips and tricks for dealing with this? I have a trip to Nepal coming up, 19 hours in flight with a 3 hour layover. I've tried bringing enough healthy snacks to sustain me, but you can only eat so many almonds before you want a real meal. That basically means you're getting a house salad, or bar food.
