Is 8 nights in Croatia or Greece possible?
Looking at going to Greece or Croatia this September to enjoy the beaches. How are these countries backpacking scenes? I would ideally go to a few cities and island hop (Greece) if possible but I am not sure how time consuming travel can be.
Which country would you recommend for someone looking for cheap expenses, food, architecture, historical sights, beach, party hostels, and nightlife? Croatia looks pretty straightforward as the country is very narrow but Greece looks a lot more difficult logistically. My biggest concern is squeezing too many cities or destinations in a week.
Are both countries relatively cheap by European standards? I ask this given that they are very touristic destinations and September will be the end of beach season.
