So wow. I booked this trip thinking it would be a treat to backpack around SE Asia for a while, but man, two days later I'm now waiting for the flight back home. I've travelled solo plenty before (a few years back though), hitchhiked through more countries than I can count, but it was just something with boarding the plane and landing here that snapped me out of everything. Never really had the "hostel experience" though, always slept rough earlier until this trip.

It wasn't an easy decision by far, and nonetheless I feel my confidence shattered and ashamed over this to my friends and family. My wallet is also feeling it..

Anyone else that has had a similar experience? Any thoughts? Still haven't really collected my thoughts, just wanted to ventilate.
