I am a 19 year old black female who lives in Texas and I have never been outside of my state, nevermind outside of the United States. I've also never been on a plane. I thought it would be a good idea to travel solo to Moscow, Russia with my 5lb (2.2kg)dog. Am I being stupid???? My family says I am intentionally putting myself in danger and that I am making a stupid and reckless choice. Thry seem to demonize the country, I love Russia and it has always been a dream of kind to visit and maybe live there for a few years. My trip is during spring break aka March 9-16 and I plan to start turning in the paperwork for my visa February 16. What are some tips for a first time traveler? Any trips for traveling with a dog? Any tips that will help me navigate my way through Moscow? Also is $700USD enough for a week in Moscow?
