First time tips
Hi guys. I've been lately much inspired by this subreddit and here's a few questions I just wanted to ask to get me to a level that I too can post my experiences here. I am a student, currently doing Masters in USA. Never been an outgoing (like hanging out with people on weekends and shit) person. But I absolutely like traveling. But I'm new to this country(US) and all so I'm a bit skeptical whether I should go for a trip or not. I'm from India and I don't want to get any trouble while I'm on my first adventure. I'm planning to go New Orleans during spring break 16 March to 24 March. My budget is very limited as the conversion rate itself is so high from INR to USD and I've no earnings of my own after I came here. I've figured out travel expenses and all but something inside me is just a bit scared because from where I'm from, this solo travel and backpacking culture is just never heard of. Also I'm very much introverted to make things worse. I just want to relax about this whole first time solo trip thingy because I absolutely want to see myself doing this more in future. How do I prepare myself for this?
