Finished a trip around the world. Struggling to tell my story

Hey guys!

Last year in March I finished a 10 month trip around the globe.

I started off in Iceland, went to the States and visited a couple cities on the east and west coast, flew to Fiji, saw the east coast of Australia, then New Zealand, took a flight to Japan, Hong Kong, Peking, did a bit of SEA, spent a couple weeks in Nepal and India, took my last long distance flight to see Egypt, Jordan and Israel, visited a couple cities in Europe till I took a train back to Germany. All in all I had the cheesy "adventure of a lifetime".

So to get to my problem: I started Uni a while ago (just turned 21) and therefore I am meeting a shit tone of people on a rather regular basis. At some point in almost any conversation people ask me what I have done between high school and Uni. My standard response sounds something like "Oh, I worked for good year and then traveled a bit".

Depending on the person you are talking to this will satisfy them but most of them seem to be interested in getting to know where I have exactly been to. At this point I always struggle to not sound like a huge douche or show-off. I feel like telling people which countries you have visited almost alwys sounds like you are bragging, especially at my young age.

Do you guys have any tips on how to answer this question in a different way? If I know they have been to Australia/NZ (as that is quite the popular option in Germany after finishing high school), I tend to just stick to name these two countries. But as that obviously does not always work out I would really appreciate any tips you guys have.

Tl;dr: Traveled the world, am meeting a lot of people, dont want to sound like a show-off when answering "where I have been to"

Thanks in advance!

Cheers
