Falling in love abroad and coming home
It's been one day since I got back from my trip and today I went out to have lunch and catch-up with my friends. One of my friends recently got engaged and is talking about wedding planning, the others are in long-term relationships talking about their relationships and there I was feeling like a million miles away from everyone. Because even though I fell for someone deeply during my trip, when you come home, you struggle to explain it as something that mattered so much to you. Because most likely you'll never see that person again and they aren't someone your friends will ever meet. So I kept quiet and kept all that I felt to myself, even though I'm screaming inside to let someone know. But it feels like they won't understand, after all, it wasn't a real relationship. Anyone else feel or felt like this too? It just hurts.
