Experiences with Aeromexico and checked baggage in general
Hey all! So confession, I've never checked a bag as an adult. I've always always done carry-on. Partly because I'm a backpacker so minimal stuff, I'm cheap so no extra fees, and ever since I was a child my family has had an irrational fear of checked baggage. I've never actually had baggage lost, but for some reason I'm terrified it's going to happen.
This brings me to my trip next week. Headed to Guatemala for 3 weeks via Aeromexico. I could make all my stuff work for carry on, but mainly I want to make sure I bring full size bug spray and sunscreen. I know this stuff can be bought there, but from what I've gathered at significantly more cost and no guarantee I'll find the brands/strengths that I want. Also if I check my bag that means I can also bring all the other liquids that I want, that I normally skip on with carry on requirements.
This is a good idea right? Anyone have experience with checked baggage and Aeromexico? I'm being a little ridiculous right?
