Europe in June, planning on no plans?
I have firm plans for two weeks traveling in Bulgaria ending in Sofia. I'll then have an additional week (approx. June 14-21) in Europe before heading home to U.S.
Trying to decide where to go for the last week is tough, because I'm like a kid in a candy shop and would like to go anywhere and everywhere in Europe. Plus I don't know what I'll FEEL like doing. Maybe I'll want to stay the whole time in Bulgaria. Or maybe I'll be all Bulgaria-d out and want to go someplace else. I don't know!
So I was thinking I won't make any plans and will just play it by ear. I'll just wait and decide when I'm there. Is that reasonable, to do a week impromptu in Europe? What troubles am I likely to run into?
Normally I like to research the heck out of a location, have firm transport/lodging set up, and learn some of the language in advance. So it's unusual for me to be considering such an adventure.
