Central Asia - Solo 29F
Hello solo travelers!
First time solo traveling and I’m doing it big. I’m currently living in the Caucasus region and will be leaving summer 2020 so I’m starting research now on what to do before I get back to the states. I’d really like to explore Central Asia as it’s a pocket of the world I can easily get to right now, and I’m not sure when I’ll have the opportunity again to do so so easily. Below is a generic itinerary and a few questions if any of you wizard travelers can help me out.
Georgia to Uzbekistan 10 days in Uzbekistan 15 days in Kazakhstan 15 days Kyrgyzstan 15 days Mongolia - would like to see central Mongolia and gobi desert 7 days in Beijing (train to border from ulaanbaatar and cab across border, train again) Return to the states
*i do plan to learn Cyrillic alphabet and basic Russian over the next year
Questions- is it safe as a female traveler? Should i book tours in advance or are there cheaper ones available there? Specifically Mongolia My total budget is $4,000. Is that adequate? What are some challenges i should prepare for? Any tips and recommendations?
Thank you!!
